The Two Towers represent Poitou, The French Province where Antoine Bourg was born.

The Star represents Acadia. The Bourque family played a major role in the development of this country.

The Latin cross represents the martyrdom of the Acadians.

The red symbolizes the courage and love of the family's ancestors who left their home country to come to Acadia.

The blue is the image of the Acadian people who, despite their misfortunes, have always evinced moderation, peace and order.

The green indicates that Antoine and several of his descendants lived off the land.

The gold symbolizes the spiritual values which have characterized the Acadian and have been their strength.
